Scott:
Hey, this is Scott here and I’m with the owner of AB service company here. And I wanted to ask him a couple of questions about just dryer repair Tulsa. Allen, when would you typically recommend for someone to get their dryer checked? How do you know when it’s just not working well enough or maybe it’s just a good idea to get it checked out?

Allan:
Well you may need a dryer repair Tulsa if it’s taking a long time to dry or something like that you might want to get it checked once a year, you know, just to clean all the links and everything out of it and make sure it’s safe and check the vent going outside and make sure it’s blowing good. Don’t have any restrictions in it.

Scott:
Got it. So it’s good to do a proactive checkup or get a dryer repair Tulsa at least maybe once a year or every so often question or yes. Got it. Well, typically in your experience, I know you work on a lot of different appliances, a lot of different brands out there different manufacturers and so forth. Do you find that there are specific brands that, that tend to perform better?

Allan:
You know, I think they all pretty much perform the same when it comes to dryer repair Tulsa. I mean, they’re all just dryers, you know, that’s what they do. They dry clothes. Just depends. Some people like, you know, a gas dryer better than they do an electric dryer. They tend to say it drives better. You know, a lot of times if your, your van gets clogged up or something like that, then obviously it’s going to take longer for your clothes to dry. You might blame that on the brand of dryer that you have when it’s really not the dryer’s fault, you know, it’s just the events clogged up a little bit or something.

Dryer repair Tulsa | Are they safe?

Scott:
Yeah. That makes sense. Is there a particular danger in having a gas dryer or is that just as safe as an electric?

Allan:
They’re all pretty safe nowadays. They have a lot of safety features to them. Like, you know, if it gets too hot, they have thermal fuse that will trip, you know, or they have cycling thermostats that will, you know, cycle the heat on and off. They also have what they call a high limit which just what that means a limit gets too high. You know, it gets too hot in the dryer, it shuts it off. So there’s a lot of, a lot of safety safety features built into your newer dryers now. So they’re pretty safe.

Scott:
That makes me feel better about it. Anything to do with gas, it makes me a little nervous with my family,

Allan:
Understandably.

Scott:
And then before giving you a call to go ahead and fix up an appliance, are there any quick, easy fixes I should check for before wasting your time?

Allan:
Well, if you have an electric dryer, you know, and it’s not coming on or not heating, I would highly recommend you check the breaker, make sure it’s not tripped. Even if it isn’t tripped, I would, you know, turn it off and then turn it back on. Just kind of reset it and then try the dryer again, a gas dryer. Obviously that’s not going to be an issue there, but electric, you know, you can get to where the, the breaker might trip, you know, prematurely because of something else in the house, pull an average or something. So I would definitely check the breaker and reset it before you call us.

When Should I call you for a dryer repair Tulsa?

Scott:
Perfect. And then sometimes I don’t know who to call for a specific appliance or if it even as appliance related or if it’s a plumbing issue or maybe it’s an electrical issue. Should I just call you and ask about it or how can I be sure.

Allan:
Yeah, that’s first thing I would do is just call and ask questions, you know, I mean, you know, if it’s something that’s, you know, plumbing related or something, then we’ll tell you, you know, Hey, call the plumber and I don’t, don’t waste your time calling us and you have to pay us a service call to come out and then you got to call a plumber and pay them a service call to come out. So yeah, definitely ask questions before you do anything. Okay.

Scott:
Okay. That helps a lot. And do you offer repair services for dryers only?

Allan:
No. We offer all brands of appliances, all types of appliances, refrigerators, washers, dryers freezers. We also do heating and air conditioning, so

Scott:
Perfect. And then when it comes to specific appliances, are there some that may just not be worth fixing or getting the dryer repair Tulsa because it could just cost more than, than the actual appliance or what’s that line?

Allan:
Well, I mean, it depends, it’s kind of up to you what you want to do. I mean, if you’ve got an older appliance, you know, and it’s given you problems, you might want to replace it, then again, it may be something easy, you know, an easy fix. And that applies to my last year, another 10 years or more. So it’s kind of leave that up to the customer to make that decision of whether they want to spend the money to have somebody come and look at it or not.

Scott:
Makes sense. And then what are things about a B service company that sets you apart from the other people in town? I guess like bigger competition that may or may not be as honest as you?

Allan:
Well, I mean, that’s, you know, you kinda gotta go with your gut on that and do your research read reviews for the dryer repair Tulsa, you know we’ve been in business since 2008 and, you know, the flash repair costs is what we do best. So it’s it’s, like I said, do your, do your research, like on anything else, any other product you buy? You know, he might go in and read the reviews. We have, you know, over 200 reviews. So I would recommend you go read those and then make a decision from there.

Scott:
Well, I’ve given a call previously to one of your competitors and instantly regretted it. When all I could tell is that they’re trying to just sell me a bigger system instead of giving it a fix. They just want to replace everything I have. Do you do that as well?

Allan:
No, we don’t do that. Know, we’ll look at your system. I mean, there’s lots of times that we’ve went out after other companies that went out and we ended up doing a repair instead of a replacement.

Scott:
Wow. Well, that definitely would save me a lot of money because I’m always put in a position where I don’t know if they’re telling the truth or not. And I’m always at the mercy of what they tell me, especially if it’s like a auto repair, if I go into a garage and they tell me, well, you can’t leave the slot until you at least fixed X, Y, Z issue. And I’m forced to give them anything they ask. So I’m glad to hear that. You’re honest with that. And then typically if I have a handheld mixer that breaks down, is that something that you would fix?

Allan:
Typically we do do not work on small kitchen appliances, hand mixers, stuff like that nowadays, you know, you’re better off going and buying a new one if those break, because, you know, you can buy a cheap one, you know, at your local hardware store or whatever. It just doesn’t make sense for you to spend the money on a service call, to have something even looked at or repaired that, you know, you could go buy a new one and save yourself some money.

Dryer Repair Tulsa Options

Scott:
That makes sense. Well, I wouldn’t want to overspend on something like that. I’d rather get something new if I have to. And then what’s the main difference here between an estimate and a service call because one of those are free and the other isn’t is that right?

Allan:
Well, service call is, is you’re gonna pay typically a service call for any service that you get, whether it be plumbing, electrical, heating, air pipes, repair, or whatever. Now we do give free estimates on, you know, changing out equipment for the heat and air. And that is a free estimate as far as anything else, you know, getting an appliance looked at or something like that, you’ll typically have to pay a service call.

Scott:
Got it. So if there’s anything in which requires you to work and find out what the issue is or perform a repair, that’s definitely not free, but if you are able to give a price for something just, just to look at the components or look at the model and just make sure that you have the list, right. That would be considered a free estimate. Is that

Allan:
Yes. I mean, you know, unless we perform some kind of work, you know, then, you know, it would be a service call, but if you just want to get an estimate on replacing a system, you know, or particular component like a furnace or air conditioner or a coil, then yeah. We would give you a free estimate on that.

Scott:
Well, here’s a question that I’d like to ask because I’ve been putting in a spot where I’ve called someone before and they just showed up without telling me they’re at my door for the dryer repair Tulsa. It kind of threw me off. How do I know if I book a call with you when you’ll show up at my door?

Allan:
Well, we typically do a two hour window, like, you know, 10 to 12, 11 to one, something like that. And then we always call you before we head that way.

Scott:
That’s very helpful. Another question I have is how often should I get my heating and air systems maintained? Because I have a gas furnace, I think it’s gas, but I’m not sure, but also a large AC unit that I want to make sure I don’t have to just spend more money than I have to, but I also want to take care of my systems very well.

Allan:
Well, we sell service agreements where we come out once a year and excuse me, and check your, your furnace in the fall. And then we come out in the spring and check your AC just to get it ready for the summertime. So once a year on each component, you know, your furnace and then once a year on the AC.

Scott:
Perfect. Well, thank you so much, Allan. I really appreciate you helping me out through this dryer repair Tulsa process here. I always get flustered when it comes to any appliance repair or my dryer repair Tulsa or any heating and air systems. This is just not my area of expertise. I’m very thankful for AB service company.
